About a week ago, I stumbled across either a livejournal or a blogspot that had a list of all of Clara’s clothes identified. I’m pretty sure I got there through facebook.

Good second date ideas?

Hiiiiiiii team. 

So I live in Germany now! I’ve been here two months and its wonderful. Really fucking gorgeous, a ton of history and its so quiet and relaxing. My host family is awesome, my hostkid is awesome. I’m finally trying to travel by myself, and I’ve learned a decent amount of German (I technically speak A1 German now I guess. Or very close to it. In 2 months! Starting from ZERO!) 

Anyway, I went on a date with a guy last night. We went to Nacht der Museen where all the museums are open really late and you can get in for free and that was really fun and we had dinner and talked and I may have spent the night at his place. (No worse for where except for a giant bruise on my back from falling into the corner of something and blisters on the balls of my feet from my toms :( ) 

So I need second date ideas. Dinner is obvious, but what else can we do?

This is the dumbest April Fools joke. The worst part, they know we’ll keep refreshing over and over.

I didn’t use an agency. I actually did everything online by myself. I signed up for a couple different sites (I ended up mostly using aupair-world[dot]net). I put up information about myself, what kind of experience I have with children, etc. and I let the families come to me.

My host family and I talk a lot. You want a family that will treat you like family and not take advantage of you. I’m already treated like a daughter and i haven’t even met them in person yet.

I highly recommend skyping with them before hand and interviewing them the way they will you. Meaning ask them things like what they expect out of you, what hours you’ll have, etc.

Don’t rush the process, make sure all your paperwork is in order and you’ll be square. And make sure you find a family you like. You don’t have to settle.
